Use the video and web links on this page to learn grammar, vocabulary and culture related to what we are studying in class. Those on this page are for any level and mostly related to culture. Each level has its own page for items that are more level specific. Some of these videos will even teach items in a different way than they were taught in class. This may help if you were absent on the day of a major teaching or if you just need to listen to an explanation over again.
How do you convey an idea to someone when you do not know all of the vocabulary words that you need?

Resources for World Language Teachers Last year I ditched the textbooks and went paperless in all my Spanish classes. I looked at the big picture and understood that my students benefited from activities specifically-tailored to our particular curriculum. Now, I am not afraid to create my own resources using information from texts and sites available to me! The following resources are part of my daily exploring, planning and reflecting to create authentic thematic units for Spanish I-IV

Automatically make a copy of a Google document for each student.

Creating this electronic portfolio will enable students to express themselves creatively using a variety of multimedia features, all within a protected environment that they can control. The link below has step by step instruction on how to create a Weebly site. How to create your own Weebly site Social Media in the TL Instagram Instagram is one of the most popular social media channels for teens today. So I decided to use it to improve my students Interpersonal Communication skills. This is a fun social app for photographs, where you post pictures of which you and your friends can leave comments, tag friends, and hashtag as a certain subject. For a language class there are many authentic uses for Instagram in the classroom such as memes, videos, photographs with comments, etc., in target language. If you are going to use Instagram in your classroom is important to protect students' privacy, especially when using a public channel like Instagram. So create a "private" account and carefully screen for any potential followers.
Here are two ways in which I am going to use Instagram in my class: 1. Desafio Instagram-Instagram Spanish Challenge, where students(you) use particular hashtags every month. 2. Caption your own photographs- in Spanish and have a conversation. (original idea Creative Classroom) 3. Independent practice- If students like movies, they can find an account about películas. Do they like comics? Find an account that posts about los superheroes! Do they like fashion, check out #moda! Use it themselves to check out hashtags for the current topic they are studying in class (#comida #casa #familia, etc.) Es chevere! Fresco! Cool! Padre! Or just find a post they want to share and tag the class account in a comment.
